HOSPITAL
When choosing a physician, it is important to also consider where they practice medicine. As a patient you want to be cared for as part of a comprehensive medical system where you will have access to the latest technologies and specialists

The William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak is the flagship tertiary care hospital within the system where the most complex care is delivered. It is also the primary teaching site and university hospital for the OUWB medical school. It is a level 1 trauma center, has over 1,100 inpatient beds, and is routinely one of the busiest ERs in the country. It regularly ranks among the best hospitals in the country for patient care and safety. In addition it is a nice facility and is in a convenient location.

From a surgical perspective, the orthopaedic surgery volume here is among the top in the country meaning we have a dedicated surgical team and extensive instruments for even the most complex orthopaedic procedures.

In terms of cancer related care, we are a dedicated cancer center with multi-disciplinary teams. I am a member of a dedicated sarcoma tumor board which meets weekly to discuss patient cases and coordinate care. In addition, we house a proton beam radiation center which is one of only a few in the country, and the only in Michigan.
